A good garden banana to attract birds. Grows very tall upto 6-7 m with spreading oblong leaves. Sturdy stems form big clumps. Fruits are greenish blue turning yellow when mature. The seeds when ripe are used as medicine for sore throat, diarrhea, etc. The male flowers makes excellent salads and curries. Leaves used as plates to serve food in the villages.
Musa prefer rich organic compost. They do best well when planted outdoors in the tropics under full sunlight. Once established they do well with dilute fertilizing.
Bare root 1.5 to 2 feet tall plants offered.
